  • Dave – Just wanted to tell you again how great you guys sounded at the Mohawk House last night (10.10.08), just phenomenal… I was really impressed – everyone was relaxed, loose, the repertoire was super, not one “throwaway” tune – and you did a nice job w/arrangements (making endings out of songs that fade on the record) and going right from one song to another. I really liked all the songs you’re picking to play – I mean, some are the obvious choices for a band w/a 3 piece horn section (EWF, Steely Dan, Chicago, etc…) but even the other stuff in between was cool - Tom Jones, Boz Scaggs, Van Morrison). I also like Scott Miller’s funky, snappy style – it really drives the band, he’s perfect for what you’re doing. Great job!
